A Call for Help from Gabrielle Bolduc: Feeding the Hungry
Hello classmates, friends and faculty,
I am organizing a food drive in our community for my Senior Celebration. My goal is to collect 500 food items, all of which will be donated to the Good Shepherd Food Bank. I am collecting non-perishable items – canned goods, boxed items and bottled water. They’re all just a Google search away! Please do not donate perishable goods. This includes bread, milk, eggs, and all items that can go bad quickly.
To challenge you guys, I am turning this food drive into a competition. This competition will be within Roundtables. Whichever Roundtable brings in the most items wins a prize of their choice. The prize options include a pizza party, doughnuts, or an ice cream party! When you bring in your items there will be a labeled bag or box in your Roundtable room. The drive started Monday, March 21st, 2022. Final day to bring in items will be Wednesday March 30th, 2022 at 2:10pm.
If each Roundtable makes it to 20 items, we will pass my goal of 500 items, which would help (a) hungry families in our community and (b) my Senior Celebration project.
Maine has the highest rate of food insecurity in New England. I want to do my part and make an impact. Your support is appreciated! I am accepting cash donations as well, which will also make its way to the Good Shepherd Food Bank.
Sincerely,
Gabrielle Bolduc
